Swallow Krantz is located in the Winterberg mountain range, between Tarkastad and Adelaide.  This area of the Eastern Cape is mountainous with beautiful scenery. 

Accommodation is provided in an old farm house, built in the 19th century by the Dutch settlers.  There are five  en- suite bedrooms, which consist of double and twin rooms, sleeping up to 4 persons in a room. 

Meals are enjoyed in the dining room, more casually in the bar, or in warmer weather, outside at the braai (barbeque) area.  A selection of local beef, lamb and game meat is served. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements when making your booking.

Temperatures in summer are between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, but winters can be cold with frost and occasional snow. Please contact us for advise and tips on what to bring along with you. 

The closest airports are East London and Port Elizabeth. Airport transfers can be arranged when booking your trip. Should flights arrive in the evenings, we recommend staying overnight in Johannesburg, East London or Port Elizabeth. We will happily arrange your accommodation for you.
